BitForward is a web design and software development studio based in Calgary, AB. I'm Long, the founder, and you'll work directly with me. I want more Alberta businesses in my portfolio, so each month I build 3 websites for free, and yours could be one of them.
I handle the design, the build, and the hosting setup. The only thing you pay for is your domain name, about $15–20 a year, and that goes to the domain company, not to me.
You keep the website. There’s no required monthly plan and no hidden design fee, and I won’t push you to buy anything. In return, I ask for an honest public review and permission to feature your project as a case study.

Why is the website free?
I’m growing my Alberta portfolio, and building real websites is the best way to do it. In return, I ask for an honest public review and permission to feature your project. There are no hidden fees or required monthly contracts.
Is it really free?
Yes. I don’t charge for design, build, or hosting setup. Your only cost is your domain name (about $15–20 a year), which you pay directly to the domain company, not to me.
Who hosts the website, and is there a monthly fee?
It’s hosted on Cloudflare’s free plan, set up under your own account. A small business site of up to 3 pages fits easily within that plan, so there’s no monthly hosting bill, and Cloudflare keeps it loading fast and secure.
Who qualifies for a free website?
I'm looking for small, local service businesses in Alberta that are open and serving customers, especially those just starting out or without a professional website. I take on 3 a month and read every application myself.
Will I own the finished website?
Yes. It lives on your own Cloudflare account and your own domain. Nothing is rented, and nothing gets switched off if you don’t buy anything else from me.
How long does it take?
Most projects take 1 to 2 weeks once I have all your content.
What happens after I apply?
I read every application, check whether it’s a good fit, and email you within 2 business days to let you know what’s next.
